Diwali festival also known as “the festival of lights” is the biggest Hindu festival celebrated worldwide. The third day of this festival i.e. the Amavasya day is known as the Diwali Day.
On this day people wear new clothes, make rangoli, decorate their houses with light lamp and diyas. People meet and get to gather with their family members, relatives, near & dear ones. They eat sweets, exchange gifts, burn crackers and have lot of fun.
The most important thing is do Laxmi Poojan on Diwali. People Believe that Diwali is the day of wealth God – Lakshmi devi and on this day people & try to pray Maa Laxmi for blessing & wishes for their wealth increase.
In 2018, Diwali will be celebrated on Wednesday, 7th November 2018.

Note : All Times mentioned above are in Indian Standard Times (IST). Amrit, Shubh, Labh and Chal are considered to be auspicious to start anywork. Choghadiya, Rog, Kaal and Udveg are considered to be bad Choghadiya, hence should be avoided.
