Diwali is a Hindu festival but especially of the business community.
Chopda Pujan is performed a day after Diwali .i.e., on the Gujarati New Year Day.
All account books are kept for Puja on the day special prayer. On this day business owners and companies are closes their old account books and starts new one with the month Kartik.
In the new account books, people write Subh Labh and sketch the sign of Swastika and OM.

Note : All Times mentioned above are in Indian Standard Times (IST). Amrit, Shubh, Labh and Chal are considered to be auspicious to start anywork. Choghadiya, Rog, Kaal and Udveg are considered to be bad Choghadiya, hence should be avoided.
