Arunachal Pradesh is a state located in northeastern part of India, It is bordered by the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south, and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the north.
Itanagar is the capital and the largest city of Arunachal Pradesh. Other major cities in the state are – Naharlagun, Pasighat, Along, Tezu, Changlang, Bomdila, etc
Arunachal Pradesh has the largest number of regional languages among Indian states.
Diwali Celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh :
Diwali is celebrated in Arunachal Pradesh for a period of five days but not in a very grand manner like it is celebrated in other parts of India.
Here mainly people who have come from other parts of the country celebrate Diwali.
Just like in other parts of the country, people of Arunachal Pradesh celebrate Diwali by drawing colourful Rangoli’s outside their homes to welcome goddess of wealth – Lakshmi, wear new clothes, eat lots of sweets, exchange gifts, wear new clothes, decorate their homes with lights and diya’s, spent time with friends and family members, etc.
Here people also participate in gambling actives during Diwali.
